Tobias – New design and innovation lead at Nimo

Tobias Strålman has a background in design and product development of both white goods and furniture for public environments. Now he is focusing on developing the products of the future at Nimo.
“Here at Nimo, I look forward to developing products that make everyday life easier for people,” says Tobias Strålman, new design and innovation lead at Nimo.

Tobias comes most recently from a role as design lead for the furniture company Offecct. He has also previously worked as a design manager and industrial designer at Asko, a company that manufactures white goods. Now he's back in the white goods industry, this time as head of product development at Nimo. His new role also includes leading the development department, which consists of a partly newly formed team of five people. The main objective of the new development department is to develop solutions for sustainable clothing care.

“In my role at Nimo, my goal is to develop both existing and new products, but also to adapt products to customer needs. If we are responsive to requirements, needs and wishes and develop the right products, we make life easier for many people.

It was pure coincidence that Tobias found his new position. When the company he worked for was moving abroad, he learned about Nimo and became interested. Tobias was attracted by Nimo's strong focus on design and product development, and by the company's good working environment culture.

“Nimo is a reasonably large company where we employees get to try our hand at a variety of different jobs. In addition, we have our own production, everything is under one roof and you therefore feel involved in the production from start to finish. I am proud of this,” says Tobias Strålman, design and innovation lead at Nimo.
