Passad Drying Cabinet – the first step in NIMO’s nature-inspired naming strategy
With the new product name Passad, NIMO is launching a new generation of names, where each drying cabinet is given a clearer identity – inspired by wind as both a force and a symbol. Each name is chosen with purpose, direction and a close connection to what the drying cabinet actually does: caring for textiles with precision and power, leaving them dry and preserved.
Names for NIMO’s drying and steam cabinets will going forward be drawn from winds – from steady and calm to more dynamic and powerful ones. The trade wind Passad, which gives its name to the first cabinet in this new structure, is known for its stability and reliability – two qualities also reflected in the product itself (previously known as ECO Dryer 2.0).
But NIMO’s new naming strategy doesn’t stop at drying cabinets. The dehumidifier now carries the name Breeze – a wind associated with lightness, consistency and quiet presence. A name that mirrors the product’s role: to work silently and efficiently in the background to keep humidity in balance.
Laundry benches will take a different path. Their upcoming names are inspired by water – flows, springs and streams. Product names that reflect what they’re made to do: collect, guide and manage water. Every day, in every environment.
This is not about poetry for its own sake but about giving each product a name that says something – not just about technology, but about function and experience. Names that are easy to explain, remember and talk about.
A new generation of drying cabinets
As the names evolve, so does the technology. With updated refrigerants, improved energy efficiency and performance adapted to future regulations and user needs, the new generation of drying cabinets is ready to meet tomorrow’s demands.
It’s in the meeting between function and form – between engineering and narrative – that NIMO’s new naming strategy finds its direction.
