From Function to Identity – NIMO’s New Naming Strategy

NIMO is now taking the next step in its product naming strategy—an initiative that has been introduced through previous product launches and refined over time. The strategy is now being fully implemented across the entire product range, creating a clearer and more cohesive experience of the brand, the products, and the overall offering.

By more clearly linking product characteristics to the brand’s direction, a more unified and communicative structure is established. The result is a consistent and systematic naming and categorization of products.

– We are proud of the work behind this. This is an important step for us following a long development process. Being able to implement it now fully provides us with a clear and modular structure for naming both existing and future products, says Rasmus Brandström, Product Manager at NIMO.

Product categories have been named based on their specific characteristics, connected to natural elements that reflect the products’ function and identity. The categories included in this change are drying cabinets, dehumidifiers, and laundry benches. The rest of the product range and accessories retain their existing names.

Drying Cabinets and Dehumidifiers

NIMO’s drying cabinets and dehumidifiers share characteristics with wind—they move smoothly and are a natural part of the drying process. By naming the products after winds with similar qualities, a clear connection is created to their strengths: gentle and energy-efficient drying and reactivation.

Drying Cabinets

• ECO Dryer and DC120 HP are now part of the Passad Drying Cabinet family

• Sensor Dryer and DC120V are now part of the Solano Drying Cabinet family

• Easy Dryer is now part of the Mistral Drying Cabinet family

• DC120WW is now part of the Zephyr WW Drying Cabinet family

Dehumidifiers

• Contra 1200 & 2000 have been discontinued and replaced by Breeze Dehumidifier

Laundry Benches

The robust and durable laundry bench is designed to withstand damp, demanding environments. Like water that moves forward with strength and endurance, it remains stable—today and over time.

• Laundry benches, TB, and Proffs are now part of the Fjord Laundry Benches family

For you as a customer, purchaser, or reseller, this change does not affect functionality, article numbers, or availability—only an updated structure that better reflects NIMO, now and in the future.
