NIMO 2026 – Continuing to Grow in a Changing World
When we looked back on 2025, we described it as a year of progress and direction. Now, halfway through 2026, I can confidently say that our direction remains clear, even though the world around us continues to present challenges.
During the first half of the year, like many other manufacturing companies, we have experienced a more cautious market. It is a reminder that conditions can change rapidly and that, as a company, we need to combine a long-term perspective with the flexibility to adapt quickly to new circumstances. In times like these, it is especially important to continue developing our business and investing in the future. That is exactly what we have done during the first months of the year.
One important example is our transition to the natural refrigerant R290 in our new product generations. By choosing refrigerants with a lower climate impact, we reduce the environmental footprint of our products while meeting future demands for sustainable solutions. The transition is now largely complete, and our new product generations are estimated to reduce climate impact by approximately 2,000 tonnes of CO₂e per year. It is a tangible example of how technological innovation and sustainability go hand in hand.
This initiative is part of a broader, long-term commitment to sustainability that runs throughout NIMO. That is why I am particularly pleased that we have published our first Sustainability Report this year. The report is the result of extensive work and provides a clear picture of how we approach environmental responsibility, social responsibility and long-term value creation. For us, sustainability is not a separate project – it is a natural part of how we develop products, make decisions and move our business forward.
Another important milestone this year has been the introduction of our new product naming strategy. For many years, our products have earned the trust of customers around the world. By introducing clearer product names, we strengthen the identity of our offering and make it easier for customers and partners to find the right solutions.
I would also like to highlight an achievement that makes us especially proud. This spring, our Production Technician Malin was named Production Technician of the Year in the Skaraborg region. The award is a testament to the expertise, innovative mindset and commitment that define NIMO.
As I look ahead, I see both challenges and opportunities. Rapid change will continue to be part of our everyday reality. It does not change our direction – on the contrary, it reinforces our belief in the importance of combining a long-term perspective with the ability to adapt quickly to new circumstances.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone who is part of NIMO's journey – our employees, customers and partners. Your trust and commitment mean a great deal to us.
I wish you all a wonderful summer!
